Drawing on the experience and knowledge gained through these regional initiatives, we also intend to develop a general framework for basic education networks, counselling and learning pathways. This framework will serve as a model that other regions can adapt to develop their own sustainable basic education offerings.

Our joint project, launched in August 2024, is part of a new focus area set by the Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as part of the AlphaDekade initiative. In the AlphaDekade, the federal government, the federal states, and socio-political partners are collaborating to improve the literacy skills and oder basic skills of adults with reading and writing difficulties in Germany.
