As a meta-project, we have been supporting ten regional collaborative projects within the ‘Basic Education Pathways’ funding priority since August 2024, providing research, services and knowledge transfer. Within this funding priority, these collaborative projects are developing and expanding networked learning and support structures for adults with basic education needs.
Based on our research and monitoring activities, we consolidate knowledge on basic education networks, counselling, and pathways and translate this knowledge into transferable approaches that can be applied in other regions.
The funding priority ‘Basic Education Pathways’ is overseen by the Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) and receives technical and administrative support from the AlphaDekade Coordination Office at the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). Within the AlphaDekade, the federal government, the federal states and relevant social partners are working together to strengthen the literacy skills and other basic skills of adults with basic education needs.
