Professionalisation Basic Education Pathways
Online kick-off event
Following the success of the first run, the second edition of the ‘Professionalisation Basic Education Pathways’ programme will begin on 15 September 2026. This continuing professional development programme provides fundamental knowledge in the field of literacy and basic education, as well as in-depth knowledge in the key areas of basic education counselling and network coordination.
Format
The professional development programme is designed as a blended-learning format, combining digital self-study phases – which can be completed at any time and from any location – with joint digital reflection sessions.
Course content
- Fundamentals of literacy and basic education
- Specialisation in basic education counselling
- Specialisation in network coordination
Participants have the option of completing one or both specialisations and obtaining a certificate.
Target audience
This training programme is aimed at professionals working in basic education and related fields. These include, for example, counsellors, those involved in labour market integration, professionals in local education, and individuals who initiate, coordinate or further develop networks.
Duration of the training programme
The second intake begins in September 2026 and ends in February 2027. The time taken to complete the self-study phase varies from person to person. Experience has shown that covering the basics takes around three half-days. A further six half-days should be set aside for each specialism.
Under ‘Steckbrief 2. Durchlauf’, you will find a summary of all the individual dates and further details about the training programme.
