Materials and resources for literacy and basic education work
The Produktdatenbank Alphabetisierung und Grundbildung (Product Database for Literacy and Basic Education, PAG) is a service provided by the German Institute for Adult Education – Leibniz Centre for Lifelong Learning (DIE), which is funded as part of the National Decade for Literacy and Basic Education. It offers legally compliant and free access to high-quality digital educational resources in various formats and is aimed at teaching staff in literacy and basic education, management staff in educational institutions and all other interested parties.
The database is divided into five main categories and covers the central topics of the meta-project: teaching and counselling, learning counselling and diagnostics, educational planning and management, awareness raising and information, and further training for teachers and planners. The subject areas and various filters are designed to enable users to perform targeted, simple and quick searches.
The PAG ensures that the results of publicly funded projects such as GrundbildungsPFADE are permanently preserved and made available. With a view to sustainability, the DIE aims to increase the social benefits of digital educational resources through the PAG. In the long term, the range of Open Educational Resources (OER) is to be expanded.
